LTD Ministry Description
Position: LTD Staff
Responsible to: Educational Ministries Director
Qualifications:
- Has a sincere love for the Lord and a desire to see campers come to know and grow in Him
- Is in agreement with Camp Forest Springs’ philosophy and policies
- Is eager to learn, loves campers, and shows a consistent walk with God
- Is willing to forego personal rights for the common good of the camp and campers
- Is flexible and able to work with campers and other staff members
- Can display definite steps taken toward a career in Christian camping
- Should have previous camping experience
- Must model Christian servanthood and a desire to serve God
- If an intern, must be at least four years out of high school, actively pursuing a career in Christian camping, and have demonstrated a gift and promise for Christian ministry
Responsibilities:
- Meet with the educational ministries director periodically
- Be actively involved in and successfully complete all course work
- Be willing to fill any position in the camp operations
- Assist in implementing the camp’s daily and weekly schedules
- Observe and/or participate in:
- Weekly programming and planning
- Facilities and grounds maintenance
- Work weekends
- Evaluation procedures
- Publicity and promotional activities
- Camp/local church interaction
- Staff recruitment
- Budgeting procedures
- Long-range planning
- Board of directors’ meeting
