Pictured Rocks Sampler Trip
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore August 11-17, 2024
This is an outstanding opportunity for you to experience a fun and challenging adventure with other like-minded adults. This trip offers multiple activities that takes you into the stunning Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Grand Island which overlooks Lake Superior, in Michigan. You will backpack two nights in Pictured Rocks, sea-kayak along the shore for one day, and bike around Grand Island for one day. There will be many beautiful sights, great wilderness food, leadership, fellowship, solo time, and strong biblical teaching around the campfire.
The trip starts at Forest Springs.
Planned Itinerary:
-Sunday, August 11th - Arrive for a 6:30pm registration and group orientation
-Monday morning - have breakfast and depart for Pictured Rocks.
-Monday through Wednesday - backpack a moderate trail to various campsites at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
-Wednesday night - head to a local campground for three nights. Both Thursday and Friday are reserved for our sea kayak or bike riding days.
-Saturday - after breakfast head back to Forest Springs and depart by late afternoon.
The scenic beauty of God’s creation with new and old friendships provide opportunities for fun, spiritual encouragement, and lasting memories.
